Action Plan

The Ontario Works Action Plan is designed to support you every step of the way as you work toward greater stability, independence, and long-term well-being. Whether you're searching for a job, exploring housing options, returning to school, or building new life skills, your Case Manager will be your trusted guide throughout the journey. Together, you’ll develop a personalized Action Plan based on your individual needs, goals, and circumstances. But the support doesn’t stop there—Ontario Works helps you connect to a wide network of community resources and services that are essential for progress and personal growth.

These connections may include:
•    Employment services like resume writing, interview preparation, and job matching
•    Education and training programs including literacy, language classes, or skills upgrading
•    Housing and shelter support to help you find or maintain stable housing
•    Mental health and substance use  services for counseling, treatment, or wellness support
•    Healthcare services, including help accessing medical professionals, dental care, and assistive devices
•    Childcare resources to support parents while attending school, training, or employment
•    Legal supports such as tenant rights assistance or help with family matters
•    Cultural, newcomer, and Indigenous services tailored to diverse needs and backgrounds
•    Community organizations offering food programs, clothing, parenting supports, and crisis assistance
