Quality & Inclusion

Quality & Inclusion Support Services

Quality and inclusive practices are foundational to every early learning and child care program. DNSSAB’s Quality and Inclusion Support Services provides guidance and collaborative support to professionals working in licensed child care centres and EarlyON programs across the District of Nipissing to help ensure high‑quality, inclusive environments for all children.

OUR ROLE

Quality and Inclusion Program Specialists (QIPS) work collaboratively with child care educator teams, EarlyON practitioners, and supervisors to support high‑quality early learning environments for children and families. Their role includes mentoring, collaborating, and supporting reflective practice to help programs achieve and maintain inclusive, high‑quality programming for all children.

Quality and Inclusion Support Services Supervisors also work closely with administrators, supervisors, and directors to guide and support the implementation of inclusive quality practices across programs and services.

AN ONGOING JOURNEY

The Quality and Inclusion Support Services (QISS) program was created to support early years and child care programs on their ongoing journey toward quality and inclusive services and continuous improvement.

With this philosophy in mind, each program’s journey will be documented, beginning with Reflective Goal Setting. Following every visit, the QIPSs will provide reflection questions and engage in collaborative conversations to help programs track and assess their progress. This process encourages teams to consider new ideas and implement innovative strategies as they continue their quality and inclusion journey throughout the year.
